Measuring life in warmth.
His hands are warm,
His heart is warm.
My hands are cold,
My toes are frozen,
My heart is ice.
Warm me.
Thaw me.
Trap me in the heat of your arms.
Let me.
Absorb it.
Steal it.
Use it.
Love you.
Let me love you.
Cold.
I'm cold.
Please.
I need warmth.
Save me from the cold.

Tears.
I can't do this anymore.
This insanity knocking at my door,
It leaves me in breathless,
Surrounding me in a mess.
The more I fight,
The more I lose my sight,
I can't keep doing this,
At what point is it all hit and miss?
I'm surrounded by a river of tears,
I'm being killed silently by looking in the mirror,
There's nothing there for me to see,
Is there anything left to me?
Why are these tears always around me,
When am I ever going to be free?
This pain inside of my heart,
Is freaking tearing me apart.
Tears leave me Alone!!!!!
I can't handle sitting on this throne.
These lies,
My cries.
My heart needs to find peace,
Before it comes to a cease.
At what point do the tears.
Represent all I've suffered all of these years?
This insanity knocking at my door,
It leaves me in breathless,
Surrounding me in a mess.
The more I fight,
The more I lose my sight,
I can't keep doing this,

Nervous.
I see you so close to me,
It's all I can do not to touch you,
I want to feel your hand under mine,
Or to talk to you instead of being alert.
I see your smile,
That makes me grin,
You see my grin,
That makes you smile.
I'm nervous.
To be with you.
My fear of being alone,
Makes me want to stay close.
Nervous.
Nervous.

Dream.
I fall asleep,
Wishing I was in his arms,
Falling asleep to his breathing,
Listening to his heart.
He pulls my body closer,
Sniffs the fruity aroma of my hair,
Sighs and holds me tighter,
Kisses my face with too much care.
I laugh at his meekness,
I know it's all a show,
I nestle further into his chest,
Using his body as a shield.
I feel my heart pounding,
My soul flies far away,
I turn to kiss his soft sweet lips,
Trace my fingers down his face,
His arm is wrapped around my waist,
He cheats and pulls me closer,
He whispers about silly things,
That make us shake with laughter.
But like all good things,
They come to an end,
My love is far away from me,
And it was all a dream.
Wishing I was in his arms,
Falling asleep to his breathing,
Listening to his heart.
He pulls my body closer,

Empty
She sits and waits by the window,
Praying that he'll pull through,
They were talking only yesterday,
Before her world came to a crash.
Her phone rang at 2 in the morning,
The news tearing her apart,
The monotone voice at the other end,
Leaving her without comfort.
She rushed over to see him,
Only to watch the horror unfold,
Her angel was wrapped in wires and gauze,
His hazel eyes open, but empty.
She tell's him "I love you."
She feels her tears betray her,
He slowly takes her hands,
Motions to come closer,
Whispering, "It'll all be okay."
She kisses those soft sweet lips,
Gently to not cause pain,
She looks into his loving eyes.
Empty.
Where did he go?
She listens to the doctors,
Talking outside the door,
"It's too late to save him,"
She fights her urge to scream.
She looks at her love,
Closes her eyes and prays,
The heaert moniter goes flat,
Her heart begins to race.
Now she stands at his grave.
Asking God, "Why him?"
Her heart is dead.
Her soul is cold and empty.
She looks out the window,
Thinking of him,
Again,
She looks at the picture,
Smiles, But no souls,
The picture's cold and empty.
She lays down to sleep,
Turning on her side,
She looks at his pillow,
No warmth.
No love.
Her bed feels cold and empty.
She looks up to the clouds,
Forgetting why she's living,
Her sweetheart's never coming,
Her soul is cold and empty.
Praying that he'll pull through,
They were talking only yesterday,
Before her world came to a crash.
Her phone rang at 2 in the morning,

Broken.
Machines break.
Glass shatters.
Lives shatter.
Hearts break.

One night.
She had no chance.
Her heart shredded.

God sent her an angel with curly hair.
Distance.
Miles.
States.
Cities.
It doesn't matter.
Her.
Loves.
Opens.
Heals.
To her angel with curly hair.
Love.
Shapes her.
Saves her.
Brought him to her.
Embraces her.
Kisses her.
Heals her.

Love turned to Hate
It all starts the same,
The kiss,
That smile,
That warm embrace.
You think you know and love the other,
"Love" their strengths and all their faults,
When all of the sudden,
You really start to care,
Their look and personality,
It never is enough.
That kiss becomes painful,
The smile hideous,
You want them to be different,
Or away from me,
Your heart breaks when it's over,
Why'd it have to end?
The "Hate" is what destroyed us,
It was my fault in the end
The kiss,
That smile,
That warm embrace.
You think you know and love the other,
"Love" their strengths and all their faults,
When all of the sudden,
You really start to care,
Their look and personality,
It never is enough.
That kiss becomes painful,
The smile hideous,

Your heart breaks when it's over,

Giving in, Or giving up?
She looks at him in the eyes,
He's been waiting for this moment for a long time,
She knows he has,
Her heart begins to race,
He loses himself at the sight of her,
Should she give in?
He watches her sleep.
Deep breath,
after deep breath.
He's been trying to support her and the baby for so long.
He lost all his freedom for his lust that day.
Should he give up?
She's the girl that everyone knows, b
ut doesn't see.
She walks around school,
trying to slouch out of sight.
She knows he worries about her,
That he loves her,
But it doesn't seem like enough to save her.
When she gets home,
She drags a razor across her skin.
The blood begins to ooze.
She looks at the scars on her arms,
And the cuts on her legs.
With the feeling of self-hatred and lonliness,
She slices with the blade,
Not even thinking of him.
Is she giving up?
He looks at his sweetheart's grave.
It's been a year today.
Could he of saved her?
He cries,
Placing to flowers on her headstone.
He longs to be with her with all his heart.
He loved her so much.
Should he give in?
He's been waiting for this moment for a long time,
She knows he has,
Her heart begins to race,
He loses himself at the sight of her,

Should he give in?
Moving on.
She's gone.
She left.
She's never coming back,
Why am I holding on,
To something that doesn't exist?
It's time to move on,
Try something new,
Laugh a little,
Love a lot,
Or even try to cry a bit.
It's not that I don't love her,
I do with all my heart,
It's just it's time to change for the better,
And she is holding me back.
It's okay to scream,
That doesn't make me weak,
It's okay to smile,
And let others see what's inside of me.
Moving on is the hard part,
I've known her for far too long,
But it's time to see what's out there,
And see what I can become.
Tell her I'll always love her,
Tell her I've said good bye,
For now she's somewhere better,
Somewhere she will survive.
She left.
She's never coming back,
Why am I holding on,
To something that doesn't exist?
It's time to move on,
