I fall asleep,
Wishing I was in his arms,
Falling asleep to his breathing,
Listening to his heart.
He pulls my body closer,
Sniffs the fruity aroma of my hair,
Sighs and holds me tighter,
Kisses my face with too much care.
I laugh at his meekness,
I know it's all a show,
I nestle further into his chest,
Using his body as a shield.
I feel my heart pounding,
My soul flies far away,
I turn to kiss his soft sweet lips,
Trace my fingers down his face,
His arm is wrapped around my waist,
He cheats and pulls me closer,
He whispers about silly things,
That make us shake with laughter.
But like all good things,
They come to an end,
My love is far away from me,
And it was all a dream.
